Fun in Malta...

We had a good ol' time in Malta. Here is Riley after Mummsie dressed her up.

Mom and I are a part of TOPS and we put on a 5K that Janeen ran. She ran it in under 26 minutes. I was impressed.

We had a great time and got a lot accomplished in going to a wedding, going to the temple, visiting some friends from Cache Valley, shopping, visiting friends in Malta, going to the 4th of July celebration, going to swimming lessons and water aerobics, biking, running, having fires and s'mores and seeing family. But the best part of all was when Ev surprised us and came up on Friday!! We missed him sooo much. Thanks everyone for the fun time!

Fishing with the Beck's

There are just some things that it is better if you have help instead of trying to fly solo.
In our family, we needed help fishing.
Elder and Sister Beck are service missionaries for the church ranch and just happen to be avid fishermen. They took pity on us and took us fishing. We caught 40 fish the first time with them. This was our second time fishing with them at Cave Lake and this time our neighbors, the Andrae's were there as well.
Riley and I and Jaime are trying our luck.


Our first time, Ev caught 2 out of the 40 fish and Elder Beck had a good time harassing him. This time, the roles were reversed and Ev dished it right back to him!
Hy was reeling them in as well. Then he'd go dig in the dirt for a while and then come back and fish again.

except these have a little pit bull crossed into them! It was Mishel's first litter...and she had ELEVEN (actually 12). Are you kidding me?

And to top it all off, we have a heeler X Border collie pup named Tex. The good news: Evan has already found homes for a good majority of the puppies!

Girl's Camp 2010

So, for the first time in my life I was in the lead for the 5 mile hike....actually I just ran ahead of all of the girls and snapped this picture. :) Ashlee (my only girl to go to camp) and some of her friends from town. McKenna (Hy's babysitter in town), Amelia, and Maddie.

The REAL troopers that made it to the top. Right after this picture, we were supposed to be to the spot where we hadve this amazing view...but it started snowing and the hike leader wasn't exactly sure where it was, so we ski-dattled back down the mountain! I am the second from the left.

This picture just makes me laugh. The girls really felt this way AND they were headed back to camp and I was headed home to food, a warm bed, and a hot bath. That night it was in the twenties!!! Poor girls!

Cowgirls like us....

Mom came to "watch the kids" while I "went to Girl's Camp" (but I only went up for a little bit. But we still wanted Mom to come so we could hang out with her!) We did a whole bunch of fun things like: ride horses, play with puppies, go for a bike ride, plant flowers...anyway, thanks for coming MOM!!
