So in my pursuit to get more people involved in triathlons, we started a mini-triathlon at Grush's. I didn't know how it would turn out or what it would be like, since it wasn't "real" but they have been lots of fun. We swim for 10 minutes in Grush's pool (this is especially good for people who are scared of the swimming part--you can rest on the side, you can do any stroke...heck you could even "waterwalk" if you want!)
Then we'd bike 7 miles on the paved road and then run 2.5 miles back to Grush's house. I didn't know if people would race and push themselves, but we actually just stuck together more and chit-chatted and visited, etc. It was more like an exercise group, but it gave people a taste of what a triathlon feels like. I missed the last one they did, so I don't know if there will be anymore this year--but it is an awesome way to exercise :)
