Christmas Parties and performances!

Grinch Punch! For Hy's class party. Green Sherbet & Sprite. I can handle that and thank you Pinterest!
At the ward party, Hy was selected to be a shepherd. He is on the very right in the shepherd group.
Can you see the little kid sitting on the right side of the stage in front of the red curtain? That is Lindsay. I still have no idea who put her up there. At first, she was on her belly, with her head resting on her hands. She just sat there, engrossed in the nativity the whole time!
Riley was in the primary choir in the blue & white striped dress.
The costumes were amazing. I think Stacy Holtman made them all!
Riley asking Santa for a "comfy Elsa doll." She didn't want a hard, plastic doll but a soft, huggable doll.
Hy asking Santa for a bathrobe, an ax, or a wheelbarrow.
Riley's class sang "Jingle Bells." Riley had very specific instructions on how to sing: "First you sing 'Jingle Bells', then you sing 'Dashing through the snow...', then you sing 'Jingle Bells' again." She is about the 6th (maybe 7th) from the left with a navy blue dress on.
I don't know what song Hy sang. Something about snowflakes. He wanted to wear his suit, but I wouldn't let him, because "no other mother is going to send her son to the school program all day in a suit." He is in the green shirt & khaki pants, next to Gunner Steed....who got to wear his suit.

"Duck face" and my children's other amazing talents.

I don't know who taught Kelsey "duck face" but she's a natural.

And these pictures were 11 days later. Unfortunately she is in the same jammies. So....I either didn't change her at all for 10 days or we just like her Minnie Mouse jammies.

When Lindsay calls something "disgusting" she say, "Bis-gusting!"
She also calls "steak", "snake".

Riley has substituted the word "brilliant" for the word "really." So she'll say, "That was 'brilliant' fast!" Or, "It is 'brilliant' dark out there." I haven't had the heart to change it. She'll figure it out someday and then hate me for letting her look like an idiot. But for now, I'll just be entertained by it.

Kelsey & Stevie looking for food-they are standing underneath Gmummsie's fridge drawer looking up through at me for all the goods.
I don't know why, but Hy & I are doing "blue stone" or something!
 "Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Bubblebath!!"
Speaking of looks....I think she got this from her dad. She usually doesn't appreciate it when I start singing, "If you chance to meet a frown..."
Lindsay LOVES to sleep in my bed any chance she gets. And it doesn't help when she melts my heart with: "Mommy, will you 'swuggle' with me?"

O "Skrismas" Tree

*For some reason, Lindsay adds an "S" in front of the word "Christmas" to make is "Skrismas."

(In backwards order): Evan says I can't make up my mind with a Christmas tree and he picks out the first tree he sees. So I told him this year, he could pick and I wouldn't say anything about it. Yeah.....like 7 trees later!!!

Hy took our family pic by the tree.
I took the pic by the tree.

 Looking for the perfect tree.
(Pics back in order:)
"Decorationing" the tree!

 Linz modeling the ornaments

Ev hefted Riley up to put the star on. Take 1
 Take 2
 Take 3.
Nevermind, I'm doing it myself!
Sad to say that our tree fell down once (when the elves were dropping off Elsa for me to wrap wink! wink!). After a few cuss words under his breath and violent threats against the tree, Ev put it back up. By Christmas day, the tree was leaning dangerously. We opened presents and the tree was gone! I thought I'd be sad about it....but it was kind of nice to have the tree out before January 15th!
