Freezing Corn II

Posted by Picasa
The Humphries' grow a HUGE corn patch out in the garden and we get together and freeze corn. This year we had even more people and it was so much fun. I think it is as close to an old-fashioned quilting bee as we get, but I love it. We gab AND get the work done together.

This looks like a good time. Our ward did a ward garden this year so we are having the young women do this to the corn that come out of it. Just a thought for next year, we have a corn cutter we got at ace that slides right down the ear and cuts all the kernals off. It seems a lot faster than a knife. You might find that handy.

Should have thought of a neighborhood corn party. I did 22 doz with the help of my 3 little helpers. Not very fun.
I LOVE Riley's little curl on her head. What a sweet little girl. I'm glad you blog so I can watch her grow :)
