Hyrum helping me make pizzas for the crew. (No he didn't put his feet anywhere on the pizza dough...he just dumped flour on them later.)
Aunt Neener with her two nephews. Elliott and Hyrum are eyeing each other--who is really Grandmummsie's favorite? Evan and Dad checking out the area on our first four-wheeler ride. (and Chuck) Decca and JC on our 4-wheeler ride.
Janelle jumping off of the dock...who knew she used to be afraid of water?
The non-swimmers...except JC. (Mom/grandma was the lifeguard except she didn't have her glasses and couldn't see. I guess she was lifeguarding by Braille). The swimmers...(front: Amanda and Bryson, back: Janeen, Casey, Dad & Hyrum, Janelle, and Filipa the Mexican killer whale)Grandma babysitting/sleeping with no glasses.Cute Elliott getting to roll over for his FAVORITE aunt, Jen....

Pioneer Days in Snowflake, Arizona
Wed. morning, Evan called and said, "Pack up...we're going to Snowflake!" We got to go for the Pioneer Days celebration and Ev's 10 year class reunion (what an old fart!). We loved seeing family and going to all of the fun events. The cool thing for me was watching the rodeo in the announcer's booth since Bernie and Vicki help out with the Snowflake Rodeo. Grandpa and Hyrum coming back from checking out the chutes. (Hyrum is looking at the John Deere tractor in the background).
Bernie (Ev's dad) opened the chutes for the broncs and the bulls. I thought it was scary...he didn't seem to mind.
Grandma and Hyrum up in the announcer's stand. Do you see the cookie??? That's what grandmas are for.
Here's the bull that Evan let in through the gate. His job was pretty scary as well. If he opened the gate and the rider was still "hung up" in the ropes, the rider would get hurt. If he didn't open the gate soon enough and the bull went after the riders or the bull fighters they could get hurt. Complicated, I know.

Gee, I wanna go to girls camp...
The leaders down at girls camp...they say are mighty fine. They look like 'Lisabeth Taylor and act like Frankenstein. (Jen getting a face mask)
The rolls they have at girls camp, they say are mighty fine, one rolled off the table and killed a friend of mine...

(Evan and Camille cooking...Ev came up one night and saved our bacon...literally!)
What a great time we had at camp! I loved these girls so much. They are a great bunch. The day after we got back, I was called as the YW president....I definitely feel overwhelmed and inadequate, but I pray I can help strengthen these girls' testimonies.

4th of July Fun!!!
Evan pulling Hy and Brooke in their sporty radio wagon convertible. Tara and Steve practicing their "goat roping."
Matt (on cell phone) and Austin showing Erica the tricks of the trade.
Ashlee and Amanda were probably the best goat ropers there.
I'm headed off for girls camp this morning...so no new blogs for a few days to all my faithful blog readers.

The Pond
First of all...a big thank you to Janelle for reminding me that I DO have a blog and I need to update it often. I have a hard time blogging if I don't have pics. So, I forced myself to get pictures today! Here they are:
We have a pond out here that we go swimming in. It's great, especially in hot weather. Today, I decided I needed to learn how to dive. I've done swimming my whole life and I'm really not too scared of heights...but I am terrified to dive. I was wondering why that was when tonight it hit me. I'm scared of falling headfirst from when I dove off the pickup as a two year old and cracked my head open.
After much coaching from Brandon, Annie, and Amber I worked up the courage to do some beautiful belly flops and I tried at least 3/4 times. Even Evan got excited about diving and his were definitely better than mine. I'm excited to try again soon.
