Some April Stuff

Couldn't you just smooch the chubs on this baby?

Evan asked Hyrum to knock down a spider web with a broom. After Hyrum had done so, Riley chirped: "Good job, Hyrum! You're a 'soupy' hero!!"
Riley was mad at me....apparently so were her piggies. Can you count all 6 pigs?
 Funny faces!
We went to the school carnival with an "under the sea" theme. haha Just kidding and seeing if you were paying attention. It was an outer space theme.

Evan: "Me & Mom need to go on a hot date."
Riley: "Are you cold?"

Riley was in one of her "moods" and wanted to be held. I had my hands full, so Lindsay held her. Then I dropped whatever I had my hands "full" of and got the camera, hmmmmm.....

Lindsay stopping to smell the tulips!
Lindsay has started talking like crazy, but it still takes the urim and thummim to understand her. Her words for sausage = bachie and for yogurt = gee-gurt.

"I am glad I married a mature woman"

Those were Evan's exact words after I sent him these pics from Melissa Campbell's 40th birthday party. Yes, he is lucky!

I have been on very few "girls night out" type things. Generally, they're not my cup of cocoa. I think women need each other and need get away time, but I usually get that fix going to relief society meetings. But I decided to go to this one and we had a great time! So, so happy that I was invited and hopefully we'll get to this again....next year. I can't believe I used to stay up that late on PURPOSE! :)
This is Kelsey in the miniature golf game. She was a good sport!
I think I see Wendy, Perla, & Alisha "putting around".
Jami and I in a "bumper car selfie." This is where Evan made his "mature woman" comment.
BUMPER CARS! woohooo! SOOOOO fun. I'm going to take the kids on these puppies soon :)
Some fun, fun friends! Love these ladies, and can I just say, I would have added like 20 other ladies to this group! :)
L to R: Melissa Campbell, Beth Campbell, Perla Nelson, Jami Bingham, Alisha Smith, ME, Jaime Nelson, Wendy Iverson, Jodi Campbell holding baby Kelsey (Jodi held her so I could go on the bumper cars! Thank you Jodi!!)
*Also a HUGE thank you to Evan for making it possible that I could go. I love that man, he spoils me so :)

Look at the Clubhouse, Uncle Justin!

*This blog post is for Ev's brother, Justin, who helped Evan put the posts in the ground back in September. Justin....we've made progress!!!
This is the platform. Rick told Ev he needs more support.....he is probably right. :)

These supports on the corners were creatively constructed by a sawzall and pushing the posts through the hole. The first one, Ev tried to saw from the bottom up through. The others, he sawed from the top down. There is nothing on this clubhouse that would pass a certified inspection. It is ALL REDNECK!
Hy helping me measure where the rails should go. Apparently, I don't know how to measure very well. Some of the rails are....leaning. I'm not bothered by it, but Ev threatens that he is going to straighten them out!

Lindsay wanted to come up sooooooooo bad. "Hold you!!"
 Lookin' good!

I didn't want walls on the bottom, but Ev decided instead of building a house on the top, he'd just build walls on the bottom. It DOES look pretty cool!
I didn't know that Evan knew how to build stairs! I'm impressed!! Lindsay did manage to escape two days ago and was found on top of the platform! Eek! Hyrum and I saved her. It's to the point where it is easy to get up, but not safe yet!

What a GREAT dad to spend all of spring break working on the clubhouse with the kids! :)

Guess who is "NO?!?"

Did you know that "NO" is an age? In English, we call it "two." In Machi-Machi's world, it is "No!"

Me: "Linz, how old are you?"
Linz: "NO!"
Me: "Are you cute?"
Linz: "NO!"
Me: "Do you love your momma?"
Linz: "NO!"
Me: "Do you want a chocolate chip?"
Linz: "NO! Yes."

(Notice the pink boots, the pigtails, and the hands in her pocket? Typical Lindsay)
 Her "sweet" pose.
She got a dress and baby from Gma Vicki and Poppa Bernie. She loves them.
We got her a new stroller and a "laptop". She loves them, too. But if you ask if she loves them.....she'll say, "NO!"

These cupcakes are either Pinterest worthy or a Pinterest fail....I haven't decided yet. I do know the barn was a fail, but it's far enough away that you really can't see the details. I think I would give someone 5 cents if they can figure out the animals.
We love our Lindsay! She makes us smile. She loves to escape outside to be in the open and with her animals and with her dad any chance she gets. She reminds me of me as a little girl. She is speaking well and it is fun to hear her words. She loves to make messes, but is usually pretty good at helping me clean them up. She loves her siblings but isn't afraid to whack! them if things aren't looking in her favor. She loves her "babies" and has always been a little mother. She loves to smooch "Baby Kelz" and pat her on the belly. She's not a big fan of strangers...or most people for that matter. But once you've won her over, you've got a friend for life! I love it when she raises her chubby little hands up in the air and says, "Hold you!" Yes Lindsay, I want to "hold you" forever!
